I'm thinking this may be a way of solving some of the communications issues at the office. Sans kiss-blowing, of course.

Got to say, Mark Poutenis's The Thinking Ape Blues is consistently one of the best comics out there.

I just saw online that comic book and pin-up Dave Stevens, creator of The Rocketeer and the guy more-or-less responsible for Bettie Page's resurgence in the 1980s, has passed away at age 55. Alas.
If you're a fan of pin-up art, it's well worth searching around for the various tributes and samples that are all over the Internet, but for my money, his take on Fay Wray and friend is a keeper (hmmm... wonder if I can find a print of it...).

I love comics, particularly ones that 1) make you think, 2) provide dialectic commentary on society at large, politics, or the human condition, 3) are in somewhat questionable taste, 4) are well drawn, with a strong sense of line and definitive character, and 5) are funny as hell. Mark Poutenis' The Thinking Ape Blues consistently satisfies all five criteria (and it's got a gorilla in it, to boot). Here's a recent example:
